After moving to virtualization in 2020, the global Amazon Web Services community is expected to meet in person again later in the year to learn, share and network at one of the largest tech conferences.
It’s going be a big one. Not only will it be the first “real” reInvent since the COVID-19 pandemic but it’ll also mark reInvent’s tenth year.
We’ll help you understand this unique and complex event.

FAQ AWS reInvent 2021 FAQWhat’s AWS reInvent?AWS reInvent is a huge learning conference that is held every year by Amazon Web Services.
re:Invent is packed with key announcements, training opportunities and thousands of technical sessions. It’s a chance for the global community of cloud computing to learn the latest news from AWS HQ and to improve their skills and provide valuable insight to their businesses and teams.
What date is reInvent 2021? The dates are Monday 29 November – Friday 3 December 2021.
Most people will try to make it to the event on the day before. However, the festivities start late Sunday night with Midnight Madness, a “pep rally” that begins at midnight.
AWS reInvent officially begins Monday. It will kick off four-and-a half days of sessions, labs and keynotes.
Where is reInvent 2021? This year’s reInvent will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
You can still register to attend the event even if you are unable to travel to Vegas. Livestreaming keynotes and leadership sessions will be available, while breakout sessions can be accessed on-demand.
Due to the large number of attendees and the size of the agenda, the majority of reInvent’s activities will be held across a “campus” of locations that includes several Las Vegas Strip hotels.

Participants will need to move between venues in order to enjoy everything re:Invent has on offer. Shuttles across campus are available throughout the day.
How much does reInvent 2021 tickets cost? Full conference passes are $1,799. Day tickets are not available; AWS event registrations are an all-or nothing deal.
This pass gives you access to all keynotes, sessions and hands-on labs, as well as the Expo Hall, Quad, and Developer Lounge.
It also covers entertainment, such as the welcome reception and after-hours events.
Pass holders will also be provided with food on the main conference days.
Are there any official reInvent 2021 hotels? Yes, there are two types: hotels that host reInvent activities and hotels that offer accommodation only.
Both of these types of hotels will offer discounted rates for those who register for re:Invent.
Hotels that host re:Invent activities are known as “campus” hotels.
