Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator-RHCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), is a certification that demonstrates core system administration skills in Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments. Candidates must pass the RHCSA Exam EX200 to be eligible for RHCSA certification.
Target Audience for a RHCSA
Experienced Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administrators seeking validation of their skills.Students who have attended Red Hat System Administration I and II and are on the path to earn RHCSA certification.Experienced Linux system administrators who require a certification either by their organization or based on a mandate (DOD 8570 directive).IT professionals who are on the path to earn a Red Hat Certified Engineer(RHCE) certification.RHCEs who are non-current or who are about to become non-current and wish to re-certify as RHCEs.Red Hat Certified Engineer–RHCSE
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), is a Red Hat Certified System administrator (RHCSA), who has demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and ability required to be a senior system administrator for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. Candidates must pass the RHCE Examination (EX300).
Target Audience for an RHCSA
RHCSAs who wish to earn a more senior-level credential.Experienced senior system administrators who have not yet certified.Course participants in Red Hat Training who have completed System Administration I, II, and II, or who have completed the RHCE Rapid Track Course.Experienced system administrators who require certification for their job or by mandate (e.g., US Department of Defense Directive 8570).Key Differences between a RHCSA and an RHCE RHCSA is intended as the core system administration certification offered by Red Hat. This credential will be awarded to anyone who wants to earn a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (RHEL6) system administration certification. Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is a senior certification in system administration. To earn RHCE under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, and later, one must first earn RHCSA. Then, pass a separate RHCE exam using the same RHEL version.
