What is CCNP Security?
Cisco recognizes that infrastructure is as much about security as interconnection. This has resulted in a greater emphasis on security training, which incorporates best practices from previous CCNP Security editions. Safety at scale is a new focus. Modern networked systems rely heavily upon mechanization.
Students must pass the main exam SCOR-350-701: Implementing Cisco Security Core Tech in order to earn the current CCNP Security certificate. It covers a range of topics related to network security, including:
Network security
Cloud security
Securing content in enterprise settings
Endpoints
Access to network resources
Enforcement of policy
It is worth noting, that if the main exam is passed, you will be eligible to take the CCIE Security certification test. After passing the core exams, you will need to choose a specialization examination. Although we won’t go into detail about each exam, there are six options available right now.
Cisco Firepower to Secure Networks (SNCF300-710)
Preparing and deploying Cisco Identity Services Engine. (SISE 300-715)
Secure Email with the Cisco Email Security Appliance (SESA 300-720).
Cisco Web Security Appliance for Web Security (SWSA300-725)
Secure Solutions Implemented by Vpns Networks (SVPN 300-730).
Cisco Security Solutions Automation and Programming (SAUTO300-735)
CCNP Security is similar in that it includes DoD8570.01-M conformance. Because it is more scientifically network-oriented, the concepts and principles that you learn are more specific to Cisco than, for example, CompTIA Security+ certification.
The CCNP Security certification is for network workers who need to be able to manage network devices and implement security measures throughout the network. This exam tests candidates’ knowledge of equipment like routers, switches, firewalls, and switches.
What does CCNP Security require?
To take the focus qualifying exam, you only need to pass the main test.
This certification is a deep dive into connectivity. You should be able to grasp the basics of networking before you attempt to obtain it. Cisco recommends three to five years of experience with Cisco networking equipment.
CCNP Security is valid 2 years. It must be renewed after that. The best place to keep qualified is to climb the Cisco certification ladder. This will allow you to renew your certificates and increase your professional opportunities.
How difficult is CCNP Security to achieve?
Most exam takers believe that the CCNP is more difficult than the CCNA. This is partly because the CCNP exam covers a wider range of topics. The CCNP also has a higher level of content than CCNA. Remember that the weighting of problems varies between tests. The CCNP test is easier but takes longer to complete.
What are the pros and cons of CCNP Security Certification Certification?
The CCNP Security certification offers many benefits. Both the social recognition and the status of achieving this difficult certificate are objective rewards. The fact is that Cisco certifications that are widely recognized and accepted will improve your marketability and credibility.
What about CCNP Cyber Security pay scales? According to Zip Recruiter, a qualified CCNP Security holder can expect to earn approximately $113,369 annually.
You can expect to be a product security engineer, senior network security engineer, lead security engineer, senior information security officer, and senior operations engineer with a CCNP.
For most positions that require both safety and security, the CCNP Safety Certification is required.
