One of my favorite things about this time of the year is how we are reminded of how important it can be to help others. It’s Christmas in my family tradition. Your tradition may be different. But there seems to be a lot of good cheer around this season. It’s a wonderful time to be grateful for what we have and to give back to others.
You may already be aware that pmStudent donates to specific causes on an ongoing basis. I find out about fund-raising events for good causes, especially during this time of the year.
I’d like to tell you about the one I donated, and offer you the chance to do the same if it is worthwhile.
My niece sent me an email regarding the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Math-a-Thon. It’s a wonderful program that gives children great math-related educational materials as well as other prizes. The money raised will help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to find new treatments for sickle cell disease, cancer, and other severe childhood diseases.
I received the email this morning. I donated the first $25. Let’s make it $500 by December 13th!

I understand if you have other causes that you would like to donate to. If not, you can consider this one. Or, follow my advice on how to find good organizations that are both fiscally responsible and do good work.
Let’s get some entertainment.
Enjoy watching me make fools of myself! (A project management blog doesn’t have to be serious all of the time!
