Hello everyone! Here’s another monthly recap to keep you informed about the latest developments. We talked about new mention types in February. Check them out! Kanban improvements. We’ll be discussing browser notifications, task dependencies and our integrated chat feature.
Enable browser notifications by going to My preferences in your menu, right next to the notification bell. Sometimes, ActiveCollab updates may cause you to not see the red dot in the tab. This can make it difficult for you to pay attention. You can switch them on and off as you wish, it won’t have an effect on anyone else. ActiveCollab will respect your OS’s “Do not disturb” setting and you won’t be disturbed. You don’t need to go back and change the notifications off. Our goal is not to distract from your Real Work. We found that even small changes can make our lives better. You can link your tasks with dependencies, in case you didn’t know. If you wait for an illustration to complete before publishing a post, then “Illustration” will be the parent task and “Publish post” the child task. However, this is possible before these improvements. The easiest way to add dependencies between tasks is in the Timeline view (aka Gantt). When you open a task, the “Add dependency” button is available. The first two changes are to group the tasks according to the task list they are in. This ensures that they appear in the same order in the project. You’ll also find the most recent tasks at the top. You can also add tasks to the same field directly. It’s not necessary to create a task in another field and then link them back together. We found it to be very helpful, but we would love to hear your comments! This new feature is available to all users. Please let us know if you find it useful.
We are pleased to announce the wonderful news! We are currently working on an integrated chat feature in our app. We are excited to be able to communicate with our team quickly without having to post a lot of comments on tasks. We are eager to hear your feedback! We are eager to hear your feedback!
ActiveCollab’s March uptime was 99.97%. We want to keep it as high and not cause any disruptions to your workflow. We invite you to let us know if you notice any hiccups.
We’ll be busy in April rolling out the Chat Early Access Program, and improving our text editor. For future updates, check out our Roadmap anytime. We wish you a wonderful month and beautiful weather!
